ok, 4 those that don't know, what u hear these days is not really beef, its commercial and is based on publicity. beef used to b about genuinely having a problem with another person, not about tryin to sell records. old beef would result in a fight if the people ever met. these days rappers r cowards and talk alotta shit but never walk the walk. but it does produce som great tracks as it pushes an artist to another lvl.

some of the best beefs include the East Vs West coast, which was mainly inspired by 2pac and bigge.2pac belived that biggie and puffy where responsible 4 his 1st shooting. he also fucked biggies wife faith hill, as he says at the start of hit em up. even tho this started as a 1 vs 1, this beef brought in artists such as dmx, the outlawz, snoop dogg, jay-z, mobb deep, junior mafia,ice cube and the fugees. here are som of the tracks.

another great battle was Jay - Z Vs. Nas for the Throne to b the next king of New York. the battle went back and forth, and it was declared that nas won the battle but jay won the war. as u may know, nas is now signed under jay and is worth alot more money. other than a battle 4 supremecy, jay also slept with nas' baby mamma. this is a summary of theyre battle

lastly is a more modern battle, 1 that was started by 50 cent. his track piggy bank started a chain reaction which led to the removal of the game from g-unit and started a massive beef with most of the rappers in new york. it also led to a documentary being produced by game entitled "stop snitchin, stop lyin" a parody of 50's movie get rich or die tryin. in the movie game starts his own group and calls it G-UNOT and goes to 50's house and breaks his basketball hoop. it also caused tention within the unit. here r some of the tracks that came from this
