Well my fave show right now is Supernatural, i guess i been in2 supernatural shit and the paranormal since i was like 4 -5 yrs old, when my grandmother told me a story about what happened to her when she was like 15. and right now im bored as hell, so im gonna just start makin a supernatural/paranormal encyclopedia from my own knowledge.

ghost - a spiritual formation, often believed to have been a person who died in the nearby area with some attachment to the haunted location. aften seen with eyes, specialised cameras (infra-red etc) and emf / heat readers. generally are harmless other than the odd scare, but sometimes can start as a ghost and become more serious.

potergeist - comes from the german words poltern meaning "to knock" and geist meaning "spirit". in short a poltergeist is similar to a ghost with the ability to make noise and move objects. it is uncertain what causes a poltergeist or poltergeist activity. some attribute the activity to extremely powerful ghosts, others say it is an attack from demons or even the devil himself. some people even attribute this phenomenon to telekenetik ability or extra sensory perception (esp).

demons/ demonic spirits - demons are belived to be once humans, who where sent to hell and while there became pure evil. in medieval times people used to believe that demons where actually responsible for differant sins, and the devil was in charge of pride as it was seen as the worst of the 7 deadly sins. demons are also associated with possession and corruption of the soul. in some cases though demons where actually seen as gods or demigods and given sacrifices.

vampires - almost everybody know of vampires, known as blood sucking demons with the power to turn in2 a bat. but it is believed that there may have actually been a basis for the vampire myth as there is actually a medical condition where by humans actually need to drink human blood to survive. they also appear very pale and as a result do not enjoy the sun

zombies - the living dead, also have an element of truth. in the voodoo religions shamen used to develop a potion often made from puffer fish venom or other venom which would actually stop the respitory system for a day or 2. when they arose they would b pale and unable to speak due to fatigue and poisoning. people believed this was and elixer of life.
